Want to learn to play golf, but don't know how? De Peelse Golf offers golf classes for starters with a well thought-out teaching programme.
To support practical golf lessons with the pros at De Peelse Golf, a book is available with theory, tips and references/QR codes to numerous instruction videos with exercises at www.golf.nl. The book can be purchased from golfboeken.nl or through your local bookstore. The exercises consist of a text section and an instructional video. This allows you to check how to perform an exercise. The steps are linked to the golfer's handicap.

The Golfstart course package consists of 6 group lessons covering all the techniques:
Lesson 1: introduction to golf, putting & chipping
Lesson 2: chipping & swinging
Lesson 3: swinging & pitching
Lesson 4: putting & chipping
Lesson 5: swinging & bunker
Lesson 6: par-3 lessons
Clubs and other materials can be provided during the lessons.
The aim of following this lesson package is to obtain the course permit certificate. The course licence is the first foundation of golf.
During the Golfstart course, you will also learn the rules of golf yourself. Under the same link you will also find practice questions and practice exams.
It is important to know the rules of golf because it helps your understanding of the game and promotes enjoyment. As soon as you think your knowledge of the rules is sufficient, you can take the rules exam. After following the Golfstart course package and passing the rules exam, you will be registered with the National Golf Federation (NGF) as a 'free golfer' via the secretariat or, if you have registered with our club, as a member of De Peelse Golf. You will then receive a registration number with which you can log into the Golf.nl golf app or your golf dashboard. You have reached your lesson target and will receive the digital 'course permission' pass. With this pass, you can play on many courses in the Netherlands. The costs for this beginners course 'Golfstart' are only € 109,- per person.

Have you got your course permission? Then De Peelse Golf offers you the chance to gain experience on the 'big course'. You may then enter the course for 3 months, daily after 15:00. This arrangement is specially designed to give you the opportunity to practice. And when stepping up to handicap 54. The cost of this subscription can be found in our price list. Tee times can only be reserved by phone or e-mail.
TIP: You can book this season ticket either immediately after obtaining course permission or later (e.g. during or after the handicap 54 course).
With your course permission, you are well on your way and have laid a first foundation for your future golf game.
It is now time to take it a step further, namely: up to handicap 54. At the end of this course, you will be ready for your first official handicap. De Peelse Golf offers a great golf course for that too.
The programme of this course consists of 11 lessons, including 8 technique lessons and 3 course lessons. The aim of the course is to guide you towards handicap 54. It is recommended to always practice at least twice between lessons. Then the teaching method will have the best results.
It is still important to master the rules of golf. You are therefore expected to study the golf rules regularly. Finally, we strongly advise you to follow digital golf instructions via the 'Golf Academy'.
After completing the handicap 54 course, you are ready for your first official handicap. To do so, you will play a qualifying golf round that will result in at least handicap 54. You must play this qualifying round with a marker. The marker can be one of our club's volunteer mentors or a golfer with at least handicap 54.
Once you have reached the level of handicap 54, you may enter the course without a mentor.

Experience shows that after reaching handicap 54 you want to get even better. The handicap 36 course aims to improve you with the various golf techniques. Properly applied golf techniques improve your game and game insight. By following this course, your handicap will drop while you play. On to handicap 36!
The package consists of 8 lessons, including 7 technique lessons and one course lesson. Also during this course, we advise you to keep your rule knowledge up to date, practice regularly and keep following the digital golf instructions from the 'Golf Academy'.
