Naturally, you play enthusiastically and with great pleasure on the many beautiful golf courses in the Netherlands. Playing 18 holes costs you no effort at all, because your condition is excellent!
But that can suddenly change drastically when a physical discomfort makes it a bit harder for you to walk or you have aged a year. Nevertheless, you would like to continue playing your favourite game of golf and still find playing 9 or 18 holes a challenge and a wonderful relaxation. A handicart then offers the solution to bridge the long distances from tee to green.
The Handicart Foundation was created to provide mobility to disabled golfers and thus enable them to continue playing golf. By doing so, the foundation gives this group of golfers the opportunity to remain physically as well as mentally active.
The number of handicarts in the Netherlands is over 1,000, spread over 170 courses.
The foundation has almost 23,000 pass holders who can play golf with the help of a handicart. This number increases annually. They pay €8 for a round, while the actual cost is more than double. A unique service we know only in the Netherlands. In addition, there are some 4,400 donors.
De Peelse Golf has 12 handicarts at its disposal. 105 members make frequent use of handicarts and there are 34 donors. Together with the annual handicart tournament (2nd Whit Monday), this covers the costs (some €20,000).

Become a donor of Stichting Handicart!
When you become a donor, you support the Handicart Foundation and enable your disabled fellow golfers to continue playing golf. Donations help Handicart Foundation to periodically replace and repair its handicarts. Donors donate an average of € 30 per year.
You can register as a donor via www.handicart.nl/donateurs/word-donateur.
Being a donor does not make you a member and does not entitle you to the lower rates when renting a handicart.
Anyone can use a handicart and pays €30 per round.
For golfers with physical discomfort, a membership is more advantageous (€8 per round). There is a choice between a temporary membership (100 days) for golfers with short-term physical discomfort or a continuous membership. After completing the form, send it to De Peelse Golf where it will be signed by the club consul. The club will then arrange for your application to be submitted to Stichting Handicart, who will generally ensure you have a pass within one week. You can already use a handicart in the same week.
