This committee is widely committed to welcoming all new golfers, even when they take lessons and are not yet members. The committee members do this through more personal contact, to help new golfers smoothly on their way, so that they feel at home in the club as quickly as possible by introducing them to all facets of De Peelse Golf.
The committee has a number of mentors who, when people like, go through the course with the newcomers, to familiarise them with the course, with the club and with the customs in golf. Efforts are made to bring everyone into contact with other (new) members as much as possible. Among other things, the committee organises a 9-hole tournament for all new golfers once a year. Afterwards, there is a friendly chat in the clubhouse with a drink and a bitterbal. This is the opportunity to get to know other newcomers better, exchange experiences and ask the committee questions about everything concerning De Peelse Golf. The committee will provide an information package on all the club's possibilities. In particular also the opportunities to participate in tournaments.
