The WHS calculates the new handicap according to a certain formula. The calculation is based on the average of the 8 best daily results out of the last 20 daily results.
A number of data are used to calculate the average daily result:
Only the last 20 qualifying scores count towards the calculation of your new handicap. These are the scores of the last 4 years, so an average of 5 cards per year. All scores from qualifying card number 21 onwards will automatically expire.
A qualifying round consists of at least 9 holes.
