Seniors
The Seniors' Committee of De Peelse Golf consists of a number of enthusiastic volunteers who offer seniors the opportunity to play golf in competition every week on Thursdays.
- First, there is a competition over about 25 (stableford) tournaments per year with day prizes. A challenge trophy is awarded to the overall winner of this competition at the end of the playing season.
- When the competition matches alternate, tournaments in a different format are played in between (also on Thursdays).

Participation in the tournaments is possible for club members with a minimum age of 50 and in possession of a current WHS handicap. The entry fee is €3 per tournament. The tournaments start at 9:28 am, during winter time at 10:16 am. The summer season will end in atmosphere with a closing tournament including a sumptuous dinner. On this
final day, the prize-giving of the Challenge Trophy and the Birdie King will also take place.
The senior committee also takes care of the Old Grand-Dad Foundation, which supports charities for young people with disabilities.

Competition conditions
When the GTC tournaments are based on the tournament rules of De Peelse Golf.
In addition to this, the following applies:
- Golfers aged 50 and over and in possession of an active WHS handicap can participate in the senior competitions.
- During the tournaments, (handi)carts may be used if the course allows it.
- Registration is possible until 6pm on the Wednesday evening before the tournament. At 6 pm, the tournament will be classified and activated. That same evening, you will receive the starting list via e-mail, which can also be consulted on your phone (golfdashboard-app). Signing out should also take place no later than 18:00, barring exceptions (calamities).
- The entry fee per tournament is € 3. Entrants who have deregistered in time will of course not have to pay an entry fee. Settlement of the entry fees takes place quarterly via the secretariat.
- All tournaments are qualifying when the course is qualifying. If necessary, the tournament management may deviate from this rule.
- The tournaments for the challenge trophy are played in stableford format.
- There is no division into handicap categories; all participants play in the same category.
- The tournaments are played over 18 holes.
- 9-hole players may participate in the stableford competitions without competition.
- Where appropriate, scores may also be submitted over less than 18 holes (but more than 9). This is only possible when circumstances prevent the player from completing an 18-hole round, e.g. a thunderstorm, it gets too dark or the player falls ill. The reason must be well-founded and noted on the scorecard. In this case, the result does not count towards the match result, but it does count towards the handicap calculation.
- The stableford results will be the basis for the daily results and the daily prizes.
- From 12 participants upwards, day prizes can be earned at each tournament and consist of VVV vouchers.
For 12 - 20 participants: three prizes; € 12.50/10.00/7.50
At 20 - 25 participants: four prizes; € 12,50/10,00/7,50/5,00
At 25 - 30 participants: five prizes; € 12.50/10.00/7.50/2x5.00
At 30+ participants: six prizes; €12.50/10.00/2x7.50/2x5.00. - The daily prizes won will be awarded immediately after the tournament. If a prize winner is not present at the award ceremony, the prize will be forfeited to the senior committee's coffers.
- If there are fewer than 12 entries, the tournament will be cancelled. Players are of course free to still run a round.
- If fewer than 12 participants complete the tournament with more than 12 registrations, the payment of prizes will be adjusted by the tournament committee.
- In addition, birdies will be rewarded per tournament.
- For the final standings of the challenge trophy, the 12 best results of each participant's scores submitted and approved by the competition committee will apply.
- In the event of a tie in the final ranking, the player with the lowest handicap wins the challenge trophy.
- The player with the highest number of birdies per season is Birdie King. In case of equal final scores, this will be the player with the highest handicap.
